I lost my job, and before that, I had quit my first employment because the pay was minimal to support our aspirations, even though I was working more than 10 hours per day. I have been engaged to my American spouse since 2023, and living with our restricted finances doesn’t change our love for each other; it remains strong. Moving to the United States as a Swedish citizen is not as simple as it appears; it requires visas under US law, travel expenses, and overcoming life's obstacles. We hope to start a life together in California and for him to visit me in Sweden frequently. Every day we still work on our goals, make plans, and I pray for the future.
