Hi. My name is Mikaela Stewart, and I want to be a professional ballerina.
I am fifteen years old, and have been dancing for twelve years. I am currently training at the California Professional Ballet Program where I dance six days a week.

Thanks to the generosity of my friends and family, last year I was able to attend the American Ballet Theatre's Summer Intensive in New York City for five weeks.
(This is me as Cupid in "Don Quixote" during the final performance! Photo by Rosalie O'Connor.)
It was an amazing experience, and I am excited to share that I have just gotten my acceptance to the NYC program again for this summer! However, there are a lot of expenses ahead: tuition, room and board, public transportation, as well as LOTS of pointe shoes. I am trying to help raise a portion of the money needed through this fundraiser.
This year, I am offering a lot of fun gifts as thank yous for your support. Everyone who donates will receive a postcard from New York City. I am also giving away ballet photo prints (photos by my mom!) and personalized canvas tote bags.
Tote bag!
Your support -- here and everywhere else -- means so much to me. I really appreciate your love and encouragement.
My mom will post updates here, but you can also follow me on Instagram @mikaelathedancer.
