The film has won Jury Award and Audience Award for Best Live Action Short at the New York International Children's Film Festival and Best Short Film at the Cervino CineMountain Film Festival, and is screening at major, Oscar-qualifying festivals.

About the film: América, a 10-year-old girl from a remote village in the Peruvian Andes, dreams of buying a bicycle so she’ll never be late to class again. It’s an inspiring story about the refusal of the status quo and the pursuit of dreams.
