Sweet Amèlie, aka "Nermie" is nearly 13 (double the life expectancy for Aicardi syndrome) and needs our help as she faces the fight of her life. She's being admitted to Gillette Children's Specialty Hospital to undergo halo traction on January 10th and then full spinal fusion on February 21st. She has a 180 degree curvature of her spine and now her internal organs are suffering the consequences.
Please pray that she will be able to successfully undergo general anesthesia both on the 10th of Jan and the 21st of Feb, that her lung function will rebound within the new space created by the straightening of her spine, and that her seizures will be able to be controlled during this traumatic time.
Please pray for the wisdom of the doctors and for strength for her family/caregivers and most importantly, for Amelie's comfort and peace.
Although Amelie's Mom, Carrie has been working full time in addition to caring for her two children, she will be cutting back on hours to be at the hospital with Amelie. All donations will be used for Amelie's medical expenses, gas/travel expenses, and necessary living expenses for Carrie, Van (9), and Amelie during this time of financial and emotional distress.

Thank you, any amount is appreciated! Let's help ease the family's stress and get Amelie on the paddleboard again:)
