Amelia’s cancer journey

Hello. We have been asked to set up this page for all of the people who would like to support Amelia. In February 2022, our beautiful daughter Amelia, now 17, was diagnosed with an aggressive bone cancer in her leg, Osteosarcoma. She has so far endured a year of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and 3 leg surgeries, all of which have been unsuccessful. In January we found out the cancer had returned. Amelia has just begun a trial drug which she will participate in for at least 9 weeks, and then we will know if the cancer is being controlled or not. Unfortunately Amelia has been told there is no cure for her in the UK, we will now have to look overseas for further treatments to help Amelia which may mean spending lots of time away from home. Living with the uncertainty that cancer brings means it is difficult to plan for the future or to have anything to look forward to. The funds we are hoping to raise can help pay for treatments overseas, as well as for Amelia to enjoy herself. She is the most incredible, strong, brave and beautiful girl and this is the least we can do to support her. Thank you for reading her story and any contributions are hugely appreciated.
