Aloha Ohana,
Just over a year ago my husband, Marc, and I felt a shift occur in our lives. All of a sudden, something wasn't quite right. It didn't take long to discover the source of a strange calling we felt. Kauai was calling. It was calling our hearts so strongly that we had to surrender our minds to the mysterious move.
And ever since we set foot on this magical island, our dreams have been coming true. Life-long dreams, short-term dreams, dreams we hadn't even fathomed yet. It is as if life is providing each moment as an opportunity to be our best, and Kauai beckons us to listen, learn and live true. So it is now clear to us, to always trust our hearts... even when it challanges logic.
Soon after moving here, I heard of the Sacred Birthing School from a student attending the Doula Training Course. I knew right away I would one day attend that school. Though I didn't know when or how or exactly why. Since that moment, an unforeseen leaf of my life has unfurled and a previously hidden part of me has blossomed. The part of me that will be a mother. Feeling guided by something bigger than myself, I have been led on an expansive journey of preconception discovery.
If you would have asked me about having children one year ago, I would have instantly said "no" or "not for a long, long time". Then we were called to Kauai, where we are clearly meant to be for so many reasons... the Sacred Birthing School being one of them. And more surely to surface. Slowly, this graceful island has helped me recognize the beauty of letting it all unfold in divine time.
So, with the beginning of the new year, I feel supported in embarking on the next level of this journey. And I recognize it is time to attend the Sacred Birthing Doula/Preconception Course. The 'when' is now. The 'why' is because my heart finally says "yes". I am naturally gravitating to preconception work and preparing to be the best mother I can be for my future children. Also, as my journey as an herbalist continues, I find myself focusing on women's healing. I see this educational experience as an amazing opporunity to expand my healing abilities and help other women in their journey. The 'how' is through this fundraiser.
I need help raising $1500 for the course fee, materials and fuel for the commute, which can be paid for periodically throughout the 18 week course starting in January and ending in May. (by-mail donation instructions below or click the 'donate' link above right).
Knowing this is a part of my path as an individual, a wife, a future mother and as a healer, I am so grateful for the opportunity to reach out to my friends and family for support in manifesting this dream.
