I am fundraising to help my daughter and her partner through one of the toughest times.

Their daughter Amelia Grace was born on 4th Jan 2026 a beautiful healthy 9lb 7oz and was thriving but at 6 weeks Amelia got poorly and they were told that she had bronchiolitis and was sent home from hospital 2 days later and told her breathing was normal. The day after being discharged Amelia was rushed back into Chester hospital and had to be resuscitated and she was put on life support and was prepared to be transferred to alder hey and we were told she might not survive the journey there.

once at alder hey they done echos of her heart and other tests and Amelia was diagnosed with dialated cardiomyopathy and once she was stable she was airlifted to the freeman hospital in Newcastle where she had open heart surgery to fit a Berlin heart and she is now on the urgent heart transplant list along with having multiple other procedures

Ali and Brad are living at the hospital with her and Ali is on maternity leave but while Brad has been up with Amelia the company he works for has gone into liquidation and he’s lost his job so the money I’m raising is for living costs for them and the things Amelia needs as they have been told they could be in hospital a year or more and when Amelia does have a transplant they have to stay a minimum of 12 weeks after and have regular check ups.
