Me dirijo a ustedes con noticias muy difíciles. Hoy, mi papá y mi primo fueron detenidos por agentes de ICE en Oklahoma. Ellos trabajan juntos como camioneros y fueron detenidos en una estación de pesaje cuando las autoridades les solicitaron sus documentos.

Tanto mi papá como mi primo tienen su documentación al día y nunca han tenido ninguna infracción de tránsito. Mi papá es un hombre muy trabajador, exmilitar de Venezuela, que trajo a nuestra familia a este país hace casi diez años en busca de un mejor futuro.

Tiene tres hijas y una nieta de 6 meses que lo aman profundamente, lo extrañan mucho y están muy preocupadas por él. Estamos haciendo todo lo posible para traerlo de regreso a casa lo antes posible.

Estamos pidiendo apoyo para poder cubrir sus gastos legales. Cualquier cantidad, sin importar lo pequeña que sea, significa muchísimo para nuestra familia en este momento tan difícil.

I’m reaching out with very difficult news. Today, my dad and my cousin were detained by ICE agents in Oklahoma. They work together as truck drivers and were stopped at a weight station when officers asked for their documents.

Both my dad and my cousin have their paperwork up to date and have never had any traffic violations. My dad is a hardworking man, a former member of the Venezuelan military, who brought our family to this country nearly ten years ago in search of a better future.

He has three daughters and a 6-month-old granddaughter who love him deeply, miss him, and are very worried about him. We are doing everything we can to bring him home as soon as possible.

We are asking for support to help cover his legal expenses. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean so much to our family during this difficult time.
