AMDA HS Summer Conservatory for Dance Theatre

I have been accepted to the AMDA High School Summer Conservatory for Dance Theatre in California. This is a two-week pre-college program that includes structured social activities, audition training, and performance opportunities.

This intensive will prepare me for college by living on-campus for two weeks, dancing with new people and training with new instructors. I have been dancing for nine years and have trained in multiple genres at Sarita's Dance Studio. When I took my first class at seven years old, I immediately fell in love with dance, and I knew that I never wanted to let go of the feeling dance gave me. Dance is an outlet that I use to express myself. I have never traveled outside of Texas and have never trained in another studio.

Attending this program will strengthen my résumé and further my experience. It is rare for Hispanic girls in our community to take advantage of opportunities such as these where there is such a high cost involved. The total cost of the program is $5000.00.
