AMC Fundraiser - Humber Bridge half marathon

For those who aren’t aware, Andy’s Man Club has been a huge part of my life since July 2023. I’ll be forever grateful for being pushed there by family and welcomed there by the facilitators & other people who had hit rock bottom like myself at the time. Being there on a Monday has helped me recognise that it’s actually okay not to be okay, but you just need to let people into how you feel instead of bottling up and eventually letting it explode as it’s not just yourself who suffers, it’s family, friends, loved ones or just someone in general who does that one tiny thing that finally cracks you, even if they do not mean to.

It’s not all been sweetness and light since I first walked through the doors, there have been lots of words of wisdom, laughs, tears, but we all stick by one another regardless of the situation. If one of us falls, we all fall but we manage to pick each other back up at the end of it and reset for the week ahead.

If I hadn’t found the club, I can’t truly say where I’d be right now. I now turn up every Monday wanting to give something back to the club, hopefully me participating in the Humber Bridge half marathon in September can be the start.
