Amber's Semester Abroad

In 2 weeks I will be embarking on a 5-month study abroad program in Melbourne, Australia. I have always dreamed of having the opportunity to live and study internationally and I am so excited to be able to do it in the region of Oceania. 

As a Graphic Design student, I will be studying Visual Communications at Monash University in Melbourne. After sending in my portfolio of design work, I was accepted into a very intensive design program that requires 24 hours of lecture and studio time each week. These hours do not include the other lecture and study hours required of me for the 2 other courses I am enrolled in.

I am a sophomore at Michigan State University and have maintained a Grade Point Average high enough to be on Dean's list both years and to maintain my full-tuition scholarship.  

As a Spartan, I try to be very active on campus and am involved with MSU's student government, our athletic department, and study abroad office. I am very passionate about graphic design and I take my education very seriously. The money donated will go to the cost of books and supplies during my study at Monash University.
