Amber’s Battle with Colon and Liver Cancer

  
As many of you know , March of this year Amber was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon cancer and metastasis liver (spread to the liver).  She has a long road ahead of her including multiple surgeries and chemo. 
Amber has already undergone her first surgery of rerouting her colon to an ostamy bag. After completing her first round of chemo, the larger tumors reduced somewhat, but not as responsive as the doctors hoped and one smaller tumor was continuing to grow. They decided to undergo another stronger round of chemo. With this, her colon tumors have reduced greatly and enough for them to remove!! 

Amber’s next step is to travel to New York on July 10th to remove the colon tumors, reroute her colon and have her ostomy bag removed (she’s very excited for this part). They will also be adding a pump directly to the liver to administer chemo since those have yet to respond. She will be in the hospital for at least a week to recover. Eventually within two more surgeries they will be removing 70% of her liver and another round of chemo. 

We thank everyone who has helped with Amber and her family during this time. They are more than thankful and appreciate the love. 

Amber and Darius are a one person income family as Amber (29) is a full time stay at home mom to 4 beautiful kids. Medical bills and finances are building up fast, anything and everything will help and is greatly appreciated. We will continue to update on her journey.
