Amber's Journey: Urgent Cancer Care Needed

Hi, my name is Amber Ruiz I am a single mother of a two year old with two older children living with my father. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 stomach cancer in September 2024. I was receiving chemo treatments and was scheduled to receive further treatment with an oncologist to remove the remaining cancer and receive a chemo flush and also get my port removed after the cancer was gone if I did not qualify for the surgery I was supposed to receive further chemo treatment to extend my lifespan. Sometime after February Arizona DES lowered the income limit to $1300 for a family of two`2, I receive SSA Disability so my income exceeded this limit and my insurance was terminated after I updated my income and I could receive no further treatments or care. In order for me to receive any care I need to travel to my tribes Health Center 2 hours away. I have no vehicle so I would need to rent a car. I do not receive rental assitance so I pay rent and also have to provide food and basic necessities such as food and clothing for my two year old son. I can pay for healthcare coverage but this would be over $500 a month for the amount of visits and care I would need in addition I also would be responsible for copays and deductibles associated with the care, Therefore this leads me with a HUGE amount I cannot pay to receive the care I need to extend my life expectency. My tribe does not provide health coverage so I would need to travel to see their providers and then hope to get refferals to somewhere closer, but again this means travel expenses associated with the visits, which again I do not have the means to pay for out of pocket. With this all being said I am asking for help so I can travel to resume care to hopefully get rid of the cancer and life a longer life. After paying for the travel costs, rent, food, clothing, diapers and other living expenses I would not have enough to provide for my son for the rest of the month. Your kind donations would help greatly in ensuring I can receive the medical care needed so I can live longer than the expected five years, stomach cancer is usually expected to return so this surgery would help making sure all the cancer is removed lowering the chances of it returning as it is not genetic and something that just happened to me. After getting my life together from my addiction this was a heavy blow to now fear I will lose my life to cancer and not drug addiction leaving behind three children who need their mother, two of whom I am i am in the process of trying to rebuild a relationship with. Your help is GREATLY APPRECIATED and desperately needed as you will not only be helping myself but also helping my children have their mother as they graduate, get married and help guide them towards the right paths. My goal is to use my expierences to help other addicts and eventually start a foundation to help mothers struggling with addiction find their own path towards a life of happiness and love. I refuse to allow cancer or addiction to take me from this world as I have so much more to do in this world. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and helping me live.
