Amber’s fight like a girl
Donation protected
My friend, Amber Gallegos, has recently been faced with the fight of her life. Last week, Amber was diagnosed with breast cancer. In the past year, Amber has moved herself and her children to Indiana from California, in order to be closer to some of her family due to a divorce. Since that move, Amber started noticing some lumps in her lymph nodes under her arm. Thinking that this was due to a slight infection, she didn’t think much of it. Within a few months, more lumps developed on the other side of her breasts. About a month ago, Amber found a large lump on her neck. At that point, she started seeking medical attention, only to find that it is metastatic breast cancer. Amber got this diagnosis on her 38th birthday and the day after she lost a brother.
Amber is a single mom to three young children, Lily (9), Elijah (7) and Sammy (4).
The point of this Go Fund Me campaign is strictly to raise money for her medical costs. This week she received her first medical bill since being diagnosed. Amber’s responsibility was for $2,071 out of a $2,436 bill, prompting me to feel the need to start some sort of effort in order to help with the medical expenses.
Personally, I have felt, that as her friend, I need to do something. I know that there are a lot of wonderful people out there that may be in a position to help this young single mother of 3. It is vital for me, however, that everyone be aware that the money raised will be used SOLEY for the medical expenses that Amber incurs and that ANY AND ALL extra money will be donated, in Amber’s name, to the American Cancer Society or any organization of Amber’s choice. None of this money will be used for personal expenses in any way. It is so vital that Amber receive the treatment she needs and not have to worry about the treatment being compromised because of lack of money to support the treatment.
I realize that this time of year is difficult for some to donate, but any amount is appreciated and needed. I will personally be overseeing the Go Fund Me Campaign and the medical expenses. Thank you for whatever you can provide!!!
God Bless You❣️
