Amber's Williams Eye Recovery

Hi, my name is April Grotti! I am fundraising for my good friend and boss Amber Williams. On March 2nd,

2024 she was involved in a freak accident at the car wash in which she severely injured her left eye when the wand kicked back and hit her eye. She was rushed to OSF ottawa and then taken by ambulance to UIC and was admitted for a day. She has a Retinal hemorrhage, cornial adema, and bowed iris. They are making trips to UIC several times a week for visits with the retina specialist, cornea specialist and glaucoma specialist. During this time she is unable to work and uncertain when she will be able to return. Her husband is also missing work to transport her to and from all of her appointments. On top of that, the medical bills continue to come in and being out network just increases the costs. Anyone who knows Amber or has worked with her knows how compassionate and giving she is. She is always willing to give to others without any recognition. She is a dedicated loving friend, boss, mother, wife and so much more. She will never have her 20/20 vision again and will be at risk for glaucoma going forward. If you can find it in your heart to help this family it is greatly appreciated!! Every little bit helps!!
