Amber's Cat Bender Needs Life-Saving Care

Hello all!

My name is Amber Devries and I am Bender’s owner. Bender is my 2-year-old cat that I have had since she was a few weeks old. She was found in an alleyway with her brother just outside of Fort Smith, AR. When she was found, she was very sick with an upper respiratory infection (URI), so I had to nurse her back to health. She got better with the right antibiotics and plenty of love, but when she was a few months old, she started getting infections in her ears. I have been regularly taking her to the vet her whole life for the recurrent infections, but nothing seemed to help.

Recently, she has been having lots of drainage from her nose and ear because the infections have been persistent, and medication has not seemed to help. She has lost a ton of weight and has already been hospitalized due to the infections. She has recently gotten an x-ray of her head that has shown a large mass in her head by the ear where she has recurrent infections. She will have to see a specialist in Tulsa, OK, where she can receive a CT scan and get the surgery she needs to remove the mass. Without this surgery, there is nothing that can be done to help her. The scan and the surgery will be 3,400 USD, and we have to travel and miss work to make this happen. She is very loved, and I hope I can do everything possible to save her.
