Hi my name is Amber and I'm the Animation Director for 'AMOEBA' my graduation film project at The National Film and Television School.

I am in need of funds to support the creation of my film project and to pay off my tuition fees allowing me to attend graduation early next year.

NFTS has been one of the best experiences of my life so far, but also one of the most expensive and stressful ones. Paying the school fees on top of Beaconsfield rent has not been easy especially with the heavy workload that comes with the territory of making animation. Because of this I have fallen behind on my tuition payments and won't be allowed to graduate unless paid :(

Getting so close to the end of my time at the school and not being able to finish my film or attend graduation would be devastating so I am earnestly asking anyone who is able to donate what they can <3

Any amount donated will get YOUR NAME IN THE CREDITS of my graduation film 'AMOEBA'!! as well as my eternal gratitude :)

Info about the film:

AMOEBA is a 2D digital and mixed media animated film.

Synopsis:

Introverted Meeba turns up for her best friend, Deely’s, birthday party, expecting a quiet night. But she’s soon swept into a neon nightclub where amoebas merge, split and pulse in rhythm with the music.

As Deely thrives in the madness, Meeba struggles to keep up – stiffening with anxiety, misreading cues, and bouncing off the social flow. Determined to fit in, Meeba tries all she can: shots, dancing, small talk...hard drugs. But no matter how hard she tries to dissolve into the crowd, something inside her resists.
As the night rages on, Meeba shells up. Literally. Meeba retreats into a protective shell. But just as the night looks lost, a small moment with Deely gives Meeba the connection she’s been looking for.

Amoeba is a playful comedy short that uses the vibrant world of microorganisms to tell a deeply human story. It explores the messiness of social anxiety and will resonate with anyone who’s ever felt out of sync with the crowd.

Think Pixar meets Euphoria. Or Inside out but with single-celled organisms...and shrooms.

Thank you so much for reading!!
