Breathe Easy

Amber is one of the strongest and incredible people you could ever hope to meet.  She's 18 years old, a straight A student, and the best friend you could ask for. Amber also has Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is a debilitating disease that affects the lungs and digestive organs, which makes it very difficult to remove mucus. While some CF patients can live an almost normal life, Amber suffers to the degree that she requires oxygen daily and as often as possible. This means that she must be near a tank or her at home oxygen concentrator as much as possible. Unfortunately, this extremely important measure puts quite a strain on Amber, as she works full time and has an active social life. Luckily, there's a solution to help take some of the weight off of her burden: a portable oxygen concentrator. Extremely helpful and with an expensive price tag, a portable oxygen concentrator would provide a lightweight and easy alternative to a heavy and potentially dangerous oxygen tank (that only last a few hours). This concentrator would allow Amber to have the oxygen she needs wherever she goes. Unfortunately, Amber's health insurance provider has refused to cover a concentrator, which leads her to asking for the help of her friends, family, or even just a friendly stranger looking to help out a good person. The hope is to raise $3,500 to go to a concentrator that will have Amber live as close to a normal life as possible.
