Amber’s Final Journey

Donation protected

My name is Shelly Magner and I have been blessed to know Amber since 2009. She touched my heart when I was working for Rock 102/Lazer 99.3 at a fundraising event for her medical care.

Amber has fought harder than anyone I have ever known. She has been battling End Stage Renal Disease for many, many years, as well as many other medical conditions subsequent to this, including surviving a widow maker’s heart attack.

Amber is a warrior, an inspiration and has not given up. However, the Lord is calling her home. Her organs are shutting down one by one and she is suffering. She is spending the last moments of her journey, with the assistance of hospice, at home with her beloved dogs, Tuck and Max, as well as her devoted and loving husband, Nathan. Her mother Cathy, her sister, Alexa, as well as many other friends and family have been organizing the heartbreaking goodbyes.

Navigating the red tape, going through medical and household bills, remembering to take care of his self-less self is a daunting task that Nathan has carried for his one true love, Amber.  Cathy, a warrior herself, just lost her mother, and is now losing her precious daughter.

To ease the financial burden so they may spend their last chapter in life together, I am asking for donations to assist Nathan with Amber’s final wishes. As most of you may be aware, they reside in Florida. Amber was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts, where most of her friends and family reside.

Nathan plans a cremation and traditional Latin Mass at Christ the King, Sarasota. He will travel the journey to Massachusetts for another service at Holy Name and lay Amber to rest at St. Michael's, where she wishes that a bench be put so her loving family and friends can visit her.

All donations are being deposited to Nathan Dion directly. Amber’s light and faith has touched so many people throughout her 40 years on this Earth. Nathan’s tenacity and bravery has kept her alive, happy and loved. Please help us ease his task in remembering Amber as she is: a warrior and a fighter.  None of us ever though this day would come, however, God is calling his angel home.
