In April of 2020, Amber Reed came down with an as-of-yet unconfirmed, but severe, neurological illness (the signs and symptoms have closely paralleled Guillain-Barré Syndrome). This resulted in hospitalization from May 1 to June 14. Since her release, Amber has been mostly paralyzed from the waist down, and requires medical home care and weekly PT visits. Although her health insurance has assisted the mounting costs of this illness, as so many others have done in this day and age, we're holding out the hat and asking for donations from those who can afford it. Amber is improving daily, very slowly, and this illness should eventually fade out - but PT, medical supplies, and doc visits are still in the future for her, and disability payments are slim.
