Hi everyone,
My name is Amber, and I am a 30-year-old trans woman living in California, currently experiencing one of the most challenging seasons of my life.
This summer has consisted of a series of personal crises that led to me losing my job of 10 years and needing to move in with my family. I am actively applying to new jobs and have been signing up for every delivery app I can in the meantime to get back on my feet, but it’s been tough, and money is becoming tighter and tighter.
Right now, my biggest priority is maintaining health insurance while I look for a new job. This will run out soon, and I would have to pay out of pocket to remain on my current plan. My health insurance provides me with both the physical, and mental care I need, especially as I navigate these recent challenges.
Before I lost my job, I had just begun working toward finishing the last few classes I need to finally graduate. Although it may be a stretch, completing school now, before finding a new job, would open more doors for employment opportunities.
Every donation will go towards helping me cover the costs associated with health insurance, daily necessities like food and gas, and any education-related expenses I incur while navigating this period of unemployment.
Even if you are unable to donate, I appreciate you taking the time to read and share this campaign.
