Amber Needs Us: Urgent Cancer Battle

I wanted to start this gofundme for a dear friend of mine for many years who is battling cancer. I’m not the best writer, but I’ll try to highlight her journey and all that she has been through.

My friend’s name is Amber, and she is one of the most amazing, most selfless people that I know. Amber was initially diagnosed with cancer several years ago and after many treatments and a very hard time, was able to beat it, and live in remission for several years….well that all changed a little over a year ago when she had another pet scan, and her worst nightmare became true, the cancer was back, and it had spread. Amber’s doctors were optimistic suggesting a new form of chemotherapy, and some new forms of treatment. Amber went into this with a fighting spirit and began treatment once again. The months following the treatment have been a literal hell for her. Multiple ER trips, multiple dr visits, so much sickness and pain that she tries to deal with privately. Not to mention the mental toll it has taken in on her.

Unfortunately after her last hospitalization, Amber was told that if she didn’t find a dr who would take her case because she desperately needs surgery, that she only had 6 months at best. Finding a doctor to take her case has become her mission. She can no longer work due to her sickness which means that her insurance isn’t going to stay active for long. Treatments and hospital bills are piling up, not to mention daily bills, and she just needs all the help and encouragement she can get at this time.
