Rip Joey Stawnychy 6-11-20. Anyone who really knew Joe, knew that he was more than the addiction he struggled with. Beyond those struggles Joe had a huge heart and was a lovable goofball...who loved to fish, of course.
Amber Bernier and Joe’s baby girl is due on July 23rd. Amber is a hairstylist so she’s been out of work due to Covid. Last week as the salons opened back up she was put on bed rest for high blood pressure. Now, she is dealing with the unexpected loss and grief of losing Joe 6 weeks before having her first baby. What was supposed to be the happiest time of her life has turned into the hardest thing she’s ever faced. Let’s rally around Amber to show her love and support. It takes a village. Please keep Amber and baby in your prayers in the days and weeks to come. “The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” -Psalm 34:18
Amber’s words following the loss of Joe:
”I lost my best friend last night to a drug overdose. I'm due July 23 with his child. My heart will never be the same. Joe Stawnychy I love you so much babe and me and baby will see you again someday. Please anyone struggling with addiction please remember the people that love you and remember how easily your life can be gone so quick with just using just a tiny little bit. And the pain everyone will go through. I'm an addict my self (in recovery) and the struggle is real I understand that but please next time you go to get high just remember who loves you.”
