Hello dearest friends and family,

As you may know, this amazingly strong,  upbeat, caring friend was diagnosed with (Invasive Ductal Carcinoma) Breast Cancer in May 2018.  April is known for her beautiful smile, laugh, big heart and amazing personality.  

In January 2018 April was taking a shower and noticed a lump on her right breast.  As time went on she noticed a lump under her right arm.  At this time she was waiting for her physical in May. Ironically, she didn't go to the doctor sooner because she was disputing the bill from her breast exam in 2017 when she had a biopsy that came back benign.  Being a single mother of 3 grown men and a preschool teacher it was wiser financially for her to wait for her physical since the biopsy in 2017 came back benign.

Since May, April has underwent numerous doctor appointments, 16 weeks of chemotherapy and on November 27th she will have a lumpectomy which will require her to be out of work for a month.  One month after surgery April will undergo radiation  5 days a week for 6 weeks, essentially 30 treatments. 

I title this page "Amazing April", because that is what she is!  Nothing short of AMAZING! Throughout this journey April has never complained! When she shared the horrific news with friends and family she was more concerned about others and not wanting them to worry.  This woman (Superwoman) not only continued to work, but work with preschoolers, 4 and 5 year olds! She continued to teach, love, support and guide her students even while on chemo!  April would even come into work  on the days she had chemo, before her appointment!!! Her attitude, strength, hope and determination find me speechless!

I am creating this page because April has exhausted her vacation and sick time at work.  She is single, therefore she only has one income. April will need financial assistance with paying rent, doctor bills that aren't covered by insurance, and day to day expenses.

April is a selfless person. She is compassionate, and she would do anything for anyone. Right now, she needs our help. Any donation is greatly appreciated. No amount is too small. Please continue to keep April in your prayers.
