Amaya and Ashlin’s Education Fund

As many of you have become aware, my childhood friend Jennifer Edmundson Martin suddenly passed away earlier in the week.  She leaves behind her adoring husband Todd Martin, three daughters Kara, Amaya and Ashlin and two bonus children Keegan and Kendall who are all in their teens and early adulthood.  She is survived by her parents David and Teresa Edmundson, siblings Christina Thomas and Patrick Edmundson, many nieces and nephews and extended family. Jennifer had just recently returned to the workforce full time after having battled various health issues for the last few years.  She worked over twenty years in various roles supporting individuals with disabilities which was a cause near to her heart. Many of you have reached out asking how you can help the family after such a tragic event.  After much thought and consideration, the most support will be needed for Amaya and Ashlin who will be navigating the rest of high school and beginning college without their mom: their biggest cheerleader. Amaya was recently accepted into the biochemistry program at the University of Louisville  and is to attend this fall.  Her high school graduation is this weekend Ashlin will be a junior in high school this upcoming school year. There will be many challenges to face, but are hopeful that the generosity of friends and family will lessen any financial void left behind especially with educational expenses. If you are unable to contribute financially to the educational fund for Amaya and Ashlin at this time, your prayers and kind thoughts are welcomed and appreciated. All the children could use your support and generosity in spirit and mentorship.
