Amata’s Emergency Veterinary Bill
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kailee. I’m a disabled woman, currently on work safe after a concussion while I wait for job retraining. My cat, Amata is the joy of my heart. She keeps me from falling into depression and keeps me company. She’s my family. Her name is taken from Latin and means ‘beloved’.
That’s why when I watched her eat a string, I immediately took her to the emergency veterinary hospital. It was at two am so I had to take an Uber since I don’t drive or have a car. The vet kept her for two nights, and gave her x-rays and an enema. So far, she shows no signs of obstruction, but she also hasn’t passed the string yet.
Since I’m currently out of work and surviving on limited money from WorkSafe which barely pays my rent, I would greatly appreciate any help I could get with this huge bill. The money raised will go directly to paying off the visa bill from the vet, and anything left over will be held against future need, since she’s not out of danger until she has passed the string.
