Message from Mom:
This is Amariah, my baby girl. It's hard to believe how fast she has grown. I wanted to involve her in as many things as possible, and let her have fun doing it. What I didn't realize is how far she would come, and how fast. Amariah has a lot of great qualities, and constantly impresses not only me, but everyone around her with her smile, charm and beauty, both inside and out. She is always helping With her younger sister, making me laugh, and acting wiser than her years at only age 8. But her talent in cheerleading and tumbling is something that I did not expect....at least not as much as she has now. It blows me away every day. As her talent grows, and as she grows, so do the opportunities she has in front of her. As a single mother, working crazy hours, i did not even know how I would be able to get her down to hingham multiple times a week after school for all of her practices, but I knew one thing for sure: I wasn't going to let my baby girl down.
The competition schedules are crazy, but traveling all over the place (both in and out of state) adds up. Still, I have never thought twice about it because I refuse to let her believe that she ever has to give up on her dream. I always figure out a way to make it work. As her mother, I know she can go far. But now family friends and her coaches are seeing it too. Every day it gets more real, and more impressive. I know her dream is to "make it big" and for this year, this means to win their championship meet in Myrtle Beach which would then allow them to go on to a major competition in Florida.
Traveling around with her, and following the team, is like taking vacation after vacation, all while trying to be a single mother of 2 young kids and not to mention paying for the constant vacations. They can be nice, but expensive, and some days, it seems next to impossible, wondering how I can make ends meet so that she can keep going, and growing, as a person and a gymnast. Sometimes I feel like I am flying by the seat of my pants, but I know I have to do it for her. The money raised here will all go directly toward helping my little girl reach her dream, because dreams can come true. I'm starting to believe that now. I just finally realized I could not do this on my own.
I hate asking for help, but I know that she would never forgive me or understand why she could not go with her team mates to one of their final meets, if I could not afford it. I am so proud of her every day and I can't wait to see what the future holds for my beautiful princess and champion cheerleader. Thank you so much for reading this, and believing in my baby girl as much as I do. Her talent is amazing and I hope that everyone who donates can not only see her "in action," but also some day say, "i helped her get to where she is today." thank you, and God Bless
