Hello friends

You’ve watched Amara grow up into a remarkable young woman. You probably celebrated with us when she won a Chancellor’s Scholarship to go to University of Melbourne and again recently when she won an exchange to University of Bologna. She’s been studying Italian since grade 5 so it’s a perfect fit.

Sadly, Amara’s current scholarship means she’s not eligible for most others, so we’re reaching out for some support. Amara is very deserving - to offer just a few examples, she has a H1 average (first class honours), volunteers as an Indigenous Student Support Coordinator at college and has loved the opportunity to work as a disability support worker and a teacher aid at Italian language schools.

Studying in Bologna will not only help refine Amara’s grasp of professional and legal Italian, it will help progress her pathway towards a career as a Human Rights Lawyer.

There’s so much more I could say about Amara’s outstanding character and academic achievements - suffice to say you’d be backing a winner! Any support you can offer is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
