In Namulesa, a community in Jinja District, Uganda — the source of the River Nile, on the shores of Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake — Amani Community Health Partners runs a small clinic that offers something rare in this area: affordable, accessible healthcare.

No long journeys. No catastrophic costs. A clinic for people who have few other options.

Right now, the clinic is serving around 75 patients a month. With the right support, we can serve 300.

Why we’re fundraising now

The clinic is at a critical point. Without immediate support:
  • Clinic rent for the rest of 2026 cannot be covered
  • Medicine and supply stocks are running low
  • Children in the community cannot receive essential vaccines — because the clinic doesn’t yet have a fridge to store them
We need $5,000 to stabilise operations and unlock the clinic’s full potential.

About Amani CHP

Amani Community Health Partners Uganda (ACHP) is a registered community health organisation with over three years of frontline experience delivering HIV/AIDS services, malaria management, maternal and child health care, and community outreach in Busoga sub-region, Eastern Uganda. To date, ACHP has supported around 10,000 beneficiaries.

The clinic in Namulesa is staffed by a dedicated team of nurses, a clinical officer, and a midwife — including the four co-founders of the organisation. They are the people this community turns to.

Amani CHP is registered and accredited by the Uganda AIDS Commission, is a member of Busoga Health Forum and partners with seven other local organisations to deliver healthcare across the region.
