Allow us to introduce our friend, Amando Bravo. Amando lived in Richmond, Virginia

during the 1980’s and 90’s, where he was a vital part of Richmond’s early restaurant scene.

In fact, if you ended your night with one more round and some grub at the Sidewalk Cafe in

the 90’s, there’s a good chance Amando cooked your food. When he wasn’t working, you

could find him hanging out with his friends Nahum, Ranae, and Elpidio.

Amando returned to his native Mexico several years ago. Sadly, he has recently fallen ill.

His cancer started in his kidneys, then moved to his lungs, and finally his brain. He

recently had brain surgery. He is recovering at home now with his wife and stepchildren.

We are asking for donations to help the family pay for rehabilitation, a wheelchair, and

medical expenses. If you can, help an old friend out.
