Hello, everyone! I created this GoFundMe for one of my best friends who I’ve known since elementary school, Amanda. Last week, Amanda was diagnosed with triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma. She is getting married in less than 2 weeks, and right after the wedding will be undergoing 6 months of intensive chemotherapy followed by a double mastectomy.

Because the chemotherapy affects fertility, her doctors recommended fertility preservation options including egg freezing, which is in large part what this GoFundMe is for. She will have to undergo this procedure before starting the chemotherapy. All contributions to this fundraiser will be used for the fertility treatments, copays for the many, many (many!) doctors and specialists, as well for any balance from the chemotherapy and surgery over the next 6+ months.

Amanda is such a positive, strong, beautiful woman and a truly good person (that’s why she became a social worker) and we know that she will get through this! Please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much.
