On Wednesday, July 1 I woke up with back pain that just got increasingly worse as the day went on. Around 2 PM I started throwing up uncontrollably and developed a fever and chills. My friends convinced me to go to the ER, where it was discovered that I had a severe kidney infection and a blockage in a duct that was preventing my kidney from draining toxins. I was rushed into surgery where a stent was put in and a drain for the toxins; the doctors said the infection was so bad that a few more days unresolved could have resulted in total failure of that kidney or something even more serious. After my surgery, I’ve been in recovery on a ton of antibiotics and fluids, having labs drawn a few times a day as they try to beat the infection. My fever has come back a few times so they have to keep me to make sure we canget it under control. 

Of course this happened on Wednesday; on Monday my job announced pay cuts and impending layoffs. I was already dealing with a ton of financial issues and now I’m looking at a five day hospital stay. I also have to come back in a few weeks so that they can remove the stent and manually flush the kidney and remove the blockages, so that’s another huge bill coming my way as well as missed work. 

i hate asking for help, but I’m in total financial distress right now. My rent emptiedmy bank account on Wednesday; my billsare all due or overdue, I owe Matt for daycare, and I don’t have anywhere else to turn. I was denied for a personal loan to try and pay some things off. I am out of options right now and this hospital stay was just the icing on the cake. 

I know we’re all in trouble, 2020 is cursed, but several people have encouraged me to put one of these together. The world is absolutely crazy, so I totally understand if you aren’t in a position to kick in, but your support is so greatly appreciated. I love you guys and am so grateful to have such wonderful and supportive people in my life.
