Amanda's rehabilitation
Donation protected
Amanda is 6 years old. Amanda was born prematurely - at 26 weeks of pregnancy and has been diagnosed with spastic tetraparesis. The part of the brain responsible for body movements and mobility is damaged. Despite Amanda's diagnosis, she is active, smiling and cheerful. Amanda is a positive child. She likes everything the same as other children - watching TV, attending events, concerts, playing and going for walks. Amanda is happy to learn letters and syllables, learn to play the piano, sing and read books with her parents. Unfortunately, the body limits the active girl so that she can do everything fully and independently. No matter how much Amanda would like to be active - she does not sit, crawl or walk. After intensive rehabilitation classes, Amanda is able to sit down for a while without support and stay on all fours. Regular rehabilitation is required every day.
