Amanda is 38 and has battled Cystic Fibrosis since birth, fighting like a warrior against everything that was thrown at her medically. Five years ago Amanda was blessed with a double lung transplant, and given the most incredible gift of continued life. Amanda has continued to fight to stay healthy and protect the lungs she was given. During this time Amanda has also become an amazing stepmother to our son Garen, my best friend and partner in life. Unfortunately, Amanda was recently diagnosed with chronic rejection, and is currently in the hospital for care in Boston to correct some health issues with her lungs. Amanda will be having to start a procedure called ECP in Boston at Brigham and Womens Hospital soon to help maintain the Lung Fuction she currently has and to help her maintain her health as best as they can. This procedure will have Amanda in Boston multiple times a week to begin with and weekly for a longer period of time to complete the entire treatment process, and there will be alot of travel time and need to stay in Boston during some of the treatment. We are looking to help ease the travel and lodging expenses on the individuals that are going help with transportation and support during the treatment time. We appreciate everyone's support, even if you can just share this. Thank you all so much #curecf #organtransplantsaveslifes
