Amanda's Family House Fire Fund
Donation protected
In the early morning hours of March 2, 2017, our dear friend Amanda, her mother Donna, and Donna’s partner Mark awoke to everyone’s worst nightmare: their home engulfed in flames. The fire was started by a malfunctioning furnace and spread rapidly throughout the lower level of the house. With fire alarms blaring, the three managed to escape the intense heat and thick smoke with only the clothes on their backs. Sadly, they were unable to save their beloved pets.
Amanda is a loving and caring friend, sister, and animal lover. She is a kind, creative, beautiful soul that has always been there for her friends and is the type of person who would give the shirt off her back to someone in need. She is not one to ever ask for help, but right now, she needs it the most. The loss of her two cherished cats, Rocky and Baby Phat, has left her devastated.
While the majority of the flames were contained to the lower level of the house, nearly all of the family’s belongings were destroyed by heat, smoke, and water. Homeowners insurance will help them to rebuild the home and cover some of their temporary living costs, but as anyone who has ever had an insurance claim knows, this process can take weeks or months before any payouts are made by the insurance company.
In an effort to relieve the family’s financial burden and provide some small amount of comfort during this difficult time, we hope you will consider contributing a monetary gift. Any funds received will go towards living expenses and daily essentials like clothing, toiletries, and meals.

Your generosity is deeply appreciated.
