Amanda's Cancer Costs

Several people have asked about a Gofundme to help us out with some of the costs for my cancer treatments. We struggled with this for a bit but decided not to turn away the help. We are extremely blessed to have such amazing people in our lives. We are so relieved and thrilled that I am finally finished with treatments and praying I will be told I'm in remission. Unfortunately, the costs of fighting cancer have left us in medical debt. The co-pays alone are nearly $16,000 and climbing as all of them have not come in yet. With the costly out-of-pocket expenses for special creams, garments, etc. for side effects, we haven't even been able to start paying the hospital.

Any amount would be so helpful and appreciated. If you are unable to help financially, we welcome all prayers, healing thoughts, positive energy and good vibes.

A little background for those that don't know. In May 2017 I receive a kidney transplant after 2 years of dialysis and lots of medical issues. After winning that battle and fighting to get my life and health back I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022. I had Triple Negative, which is aggressive and only responds to chemo. After several rounds of chemo I started having bad side effects including neuropathy. Chemo was stopped and my team found that I responded well to it and the tumor was untraceable. I had my lumpectomy and lymphnodes removed. I ended up getting lymphedema and they found that where the tumor started I had another type of breast cancer, ER positive. I had to do radiation for it and have some bad radiation burns from it. I will be doing physical therapy for the lymphedema and have appointments scheduled with my surgeon, chemo oncologist and radiation oncologist coming up. Praying for good news!

I am so thankful for all of the prayers and support and that I can be here for my family. My husband Lenny and I have been married for 24 years, he's my ride-or-die. We have a teenage daughter and 2 adult sons. Our oldest got married last year and is expecting his first baby this summer. We are soooo excited to become grandparents! We also have 4 fur babies...two dogs and two cats.
