Ecuador 2014
Donation protected
Hey guys!
Thanks so much for looking into this. Here's my story. For the past two years, I have been blessed with the opportunity to travel into the jungles of Ecuador to serve to a very remote village of Shuar indians. The first year in 2012 I served on an evangelism based trip where we used our opportunity to share Christ's love and teachings by sharing the Word, providing Bible studies for adults, putting on VBS programs for children, and simply donating our time to hear their stories and pray for them. This usually involved a single or double translation (from English to Spanish, and sometimes from Spanish to Shuar). That first year was a completely life changing experience for me, and it was then that I answered the Lord's call for my life and made the commitment to go on as many mission trips all over the world as the Lord would allow. So far, the Lord has provided for me to serve only in Ecuador, and I am absolutely loving it! I returned to the jungle last summer and this time embarked on a construction-based trip not too far from the village I had been in during the previous year. For the last four years, the church I attend in Rowlett, Texas as been helping with the construction of a large school campus in the jungle. This is where I served last year, and that experience is just as incredible because it is the best of both worlds. We received the opportunity to both help build the school and to talk to and evangelize with the Ecuadorian construction workers and their families. We shared work hours, meals, and many conversations with these compassionate and wonderful people, and it was also an experience I will never forget. (For more details on the school construction project, please visit www.shuarschool.org) This year, I feel the call being placed on my heart yet again, and I am overwhelmed with joy by this opportunity. As you pray over considering to make a donation, I would also greatly appreciate you praying over the trip as a whole. Please pray for the hearts of the people in Ecuador we will be reaching and for the hearts of those serving. Prayer is really the driving force behind missions, and without it we would accomplish nothing! Again, thank you so much for considering to donate to this trip. Thank you so much! Love y'all!
