Hello, my name is Amanda Miller. I've been best friends with Amanda for the last almost 20 years.

In the midst of Casey and Amanda selling their home, relocating both of their business and getting the kids enrolled in a new school Amanda went for an appointment at the Mayo Clinic regarding having some varicose veins removed that her primary doctor was uncomfortable removing.

About a month ago we found out Amanda has a congenital heart defect. She has a large hole (PFO) with an atrial septal aneurysm (ASA) that has large right-to-left shunting.

Tomorrow, Sept 16th a surgeon at the Mayo clinic will put an implant in that stays forever to close the hole & hopefully fix the other stuff caused by the hole. It should heal around 6 months & then she will get it rechecked.

With the surgery and preoperative appointments and postoperative appointments both Amanda and Casey have missed a lot of work.

I'm setting this up to hopefully help lighten the burden of the daily bills along with missed income and travel expenses down to Mayo and back.
