Hello friends! Our beloved Amanda needs our support! Just a couple of weeks ago, Amanda found out that she has early stage breast cancer, stage 1B invasive ductal carcinoma. While the prognosis is great, there is a lot we don’t know yet. What we do know is that Amanda’s health care coverage will not be enough to see her through this. She is having a double mastectomy in early July, and her lengthy recovery will be largely unpaid. Because she is a new employee at her job, she has less than one week of leave and is not eligible for leave donations. So in addition to fighting cancer and recovering from major surgery, covering basic living expenses is a concern. Let’s rally and give her as much support as we can.
