Amanda (Neal) Sartin Medical Fund
On 11/4/2020 my dearest friend and sister in Christ, Amanda Sartin, received unfathomable news from her Neurosurgeon.
{Bit of background} A few years ago Amanda began having numbness in her fingers, they originally thought it was from a fall and landing wrong. She was referred to an orthopedic surgeon. After a bit of time it was determined that she needed to have surgery for carpal tunnel, which she did. After surgery the numbness and lack of mobility remained. She went through many different hand therapies, none of which helped. To date she still does not have feeling back or full mobility of her hands/fingers.
In late October (2020) Due to the continued lack of mobility in her hands and fingers, her Ortho ordered an MRI. Amanda then experienced an electrical shock sensation in her neck/upper back. This sensation was persistent every few minutes. She knew that something was not right and contacted her PCP. It was discovered through the MRI, that she has a large mass in her spinal canal. Due to the position and complication of this surgery she was then referred to a local Neurosurgeon. The news from her Neurosurgeon is unfathomable, the mass in her spinal canal is large and wrapped around a main artery on her right side, and blocking the flow of her spinal fluid. Due to the complexity of this surgery and aftercare needed she has been referred to see a Neurosurgeon in Pittsburgh (immediately), where she will undergo surgery and at some point radiation. All of the details have not yet been outlined and there is so much unknown. As one of her closest friends, I feel incredibly helpless & the only thing I know to do at this point is to try to help raise money to relieve some of that stress. I also know that we serve a God bigger than this. His plan is greater than ours. He is a miraculous healer. I know that Amanda would do or give ANYthing to help ANYone, whether you are a close friend of hers or someone she sees in passing. She has given every ounce of her being to serve God and others.
Amanda and and her husband (Mark) have three kids. They are both in ministry and have literally sacrificed everything to serve God. Neither of them receive a "paycheck". BUT God has always provided a way for them to continue serving others and growing Gods kingdom.
I am literally begging you to consider donating, any amount $1, $5, or $25, please hear me, NO amount is too small. Every penny raised will go directly to medical expenses/providing for her family.
My hope and prayer is for complete healing. In the mean time, I am asking for each of you to pray, and please consider donating so that we, together, can relieve the financial burden/ medical expenses that this diagnosis comes with.
