Amanda Peterson through transplant journey!

Hi everyone!

My name is Amanda Finch and I am here today to help raise some funds for my mentor and closest friend, Amanda Peterson in her vital time of need.

In November of 2023 Amanda was diagnosed with both severe COPD, as well as liver cirrhosis with rare alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. She didn't know where this diagnosis would lead or how quickly it would lead to where it is now. Amanda now requires a dual lung-liver organ transplant. And seeing as how there is NO specialist in the state of Indiana that is able to care for the severity of her alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, nor is there an in-state facility that does this dual organ transplant. She required a referral to the Cleveland Clinic for evaluation and treatment.

Amanda does home infusions once a week already to help get her through to the next. She is also on oxygen 24/7 now as her lungs are operating at a very low percentage. She is unable to leave her home and when she does it's to the hospital. Even so, she has not stopped fighting and has not given up hope. I know personally that there are some really hard days for her but choses to stay positive and keeps her faith in God. And through lots of prayer and petition she just received the best news ever! I'm going to include her actual statement below as to that news:

"I am utterly humbled and grateful! I just received the incredible news that I am APPROVED for testing at Cleveland Clinic for my lung/liver transplants! Thank you to everyone for your unwavering prayers and support. It's going to be a challenging yet transformative next 3-6 months. I have faith that God's providence will guide me through! As my birthday approaches on the 24th, your financial contributions will be a blessing for ⛽️, food, hotel, and other expenses. Any assistance will be deeply appreciated! And to those who may not be able to give financially, please know that your continued prayers are priceless and have brought me this far! Let's keep lifting each other up in prayer!"

Praise the Lord! She has been approved! And while this is huge news and such a blessing there will be much that insurance will not cover, that Amanda will be responsible for out of pocket. I'm sure you can imagine the crazy expenses. She finally has a chance to get better!

God is such a good, good father and there is nothing that he won't do! Amanda is one of the most kind hearted and loving persons that I have ever had the privilege of knowing! I am so thankful I get to call her friend and a sister in Christ. I love her very much and I know that I will do all I can to help her get to where she needs to go!

If you can please find it in your hearts to help donate so that Amanda has a chance at better and healthier life and can return to work, I know she would be more than grateful!
