Amanda Needs Your Help: Pain Relief Surgery
Donation protected
Update Feb 28th Update: Hi! I still need your help. I paid up front for my surgeon's fee ($8,500) but this left a very large hole in my savings. Sadly, my health insurance is very limited in coverage for the endometriosis excision surgery. I may get a small reimbursement but that remains to be seen.
UPDATE FEB 27TH Surgery went well. About 2 hours long with 4 hours recovery. Home resting now. Pending some pathology results. I am home Left ovary was stuck to bowel. He restored that. Appendix was all messed so he took it out. Also there were pockets and areas of Endometriosis. Probably stage 1 or 2. Confirming pathology at my post op appointment There was more wrong but that's but I remember at the moment post op next week.
Update! I was bumped up to Monday. FEB 24th, I prepaid for my surgeon's base fee on a card but am still accepting help.
Hi, I'm Amanda, and I'm struggling with severe abdomen and pelvic pain that’s taken over my life.
I was hit by a car in 2019 as a pedestrian where I broke my right leg and ankle, which left me with chronic ankle issues and type 2 diabetes.
Fast forward to 2025. I now have worsening abdomen and pelvic pain along with fibroids and other complications have made even daily tasks unbearable. I would gladly trade my pain for 2 broken legs right now.
I have endometriosis excision surgery scheduled FEB 24th and any support would help with medical expenses and getting through this challenging time. Due to the type of medical issue, it requires a highly skilled out of network specialist (I have looked in network with little success). Insurance should cover the hospital related charges.
We are hoping the one surgery will help my issues but my case may be a bit more complex than we know right now. The only way to find out is through the surgery.
Thank you,
