Amanda Morice and Baby Ezra

Update: On Tuesday, July 11th, Justin officially passed away and the organ donation surgeries were completed.

Sometime after midnight on Sunday, July 9th, Justin Ray was involved in a serious car accident that left him braindead. He is currently supported by ventilators while medical staff works to find recipients for his organs. As an organ donor, Justin will help those individuals in need but ultimately leaves behind his 22-month-old son, Ezra, and Ezra’s hardworking mother, Amanda. Little details are known as we are still waiting to hear from first responders, but we will release information once we know more.

Amanda is a cherished, full-of-life friend who lights up any room. Amanda is a fun-loving, beautiful, and dedicated mother to Ezra. Originally from New Orleans, Amanda has called Colorado home for the last 4 years.

Amanda, Ezra, and Justin happily lived together in Westminster, Colorado. Completing her Master of Science in Psychology, Amanda works full-time pursuing her passion for supporting Autistic special needs children all-while working towards attaining her license as a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA). Ezra is currently enrolled in daycare, as it took both incomes to pay for living expenses, food and providing for their son. Justin did not have life insurance, and Amanda does not have any family in Colorado.
