On November 17th,  Amanda fell victim to a drive by shooting in Oakland, California. Amanda was inside her home when a bullet burst through the glass of her bedroom window and struck her in the chest. The bullet traveled throughout her body and damaged her Aorta and liver, collapsed her lung and then permanently lodged itself near her spinal cord.  As a result, her spine was fractured and she underwent surgery to stabilize her spine. 

Over the past week Amanda has been fighting to regain her strength. She transitioned from the ED into the ICU and is now on a regular floor preparing for discharge from the hospital.

We would like to support Amanda by raising funds to assist with the astronomical costs of her hospital stay and provide peace of mind while she focuses on recovery.
