Hello Friends and Family,
As some of you know, earlier this year, I was terminated from my employer, South River Mortgage, with no warning and no explanation given before I was walked out the door. A month later, they filed a lawsuit against me alleging that I, “commenced a campaign of defaming and slandering SRM.” At the heart of their lawsuit, is the allegation that I created fake email accounts to write an email accusing the company and their leadership of “illegal and immoral conduct.” These allegations are baseless and without merit. I did not write the email they are falsely accusing me of writing, and I did not engage in any such campaign.
As a result of these false accusations, South River Mortgage is claiming over $1,000,000 (ONE MILLION DOLLARS) in damages from me. I am asking for help from friends and family to raise money to help cover my legal bills to fight South River Mortgage and clear my name. Unlike this company, I do not have deep pockets to be able to afford an extended legal battle. This lawsuit has taken a toll on me, not only mentally and emotionally, but also financially. It feels like South River Mortgage and their owners, Jim Plack and Tyler Plack, have a personal vendetta against me based on the false belief that I sent a defamatory email about the company. They have also subpoenaed multiple friends and former co-workers in what I believe is an effort to alienate me from them and further inflict emotional distress upon my life.
At this point, I have spent over $15,000 in legal fees defending myself and the case is nowhere near over. Any amount you can give would be so helpful and I would be eternally grateful. My goal is to raise whatever I need to in order to continue fighting these false accusations.
Thank you for your support!
