Help Lay Amanda Lilly Nicole Gomez to Rest

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,

It is with broken hearts that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved Amanda Lilly Nicole Gomez. At just 20 years old, Amanda was full of life, light, laughter and love. Her passing has left a deep void in our family that words can't begin to describe.

Amanda had just turned 20 years old when she passed away in a bed at a mental health and wellness center at 9 AM Monday Morning June 16th 2025. She was a bright young girl with adoring friends and family. She graduated high school, was attending college, and worked a part time job at Jamba Juice.

In May of 2024 Amanda was diagnosed with POTS, a heart condition that caused her to have extreme fluctuations in heart rate upon movement.

In early morning hours June 13th 2025 Amanda exhibited symptoms of psychosis, and called 911. She went with the ambulance, where she stayed at the facility in patient care until her death. Her body was transferred to the city coroner, where her autopsy will be conducted this week.

If you made it this far in reading this tiny fraction of Amanda's story; Thank you. There's an infinite amount of many places money can go right now to extremely worthy causes. Amanda is certainly one of them.

Unfortunately, the cost of funeral and burial expenses is something our family is unable to cover. We also feel it is incredibly important to raise $11,000 for Amanda to get a private autopsy which is a critical component to knowing what really happened to Amanda. The coroner's office is backlogged for months with a shortage of pathologists in the nation.

Please consider contributing to Amanda's justice, and sharing her story with your loved ones. Your donation will go directly towards funeral services, burial and autopsy costs. Any amount, no matter how small, will help and is deeply appreciated. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for your kindness, prayers, and your support during this unimaginable time.

If you are unable to donate, please share this campaign with others who may be able to help.

With love,
Maddy Lyu and Samantha
