10/3/2024 Update-
Hi everyone,
On behalf of Amanda, and her family I would like to extend our sincerest gratitude for your continued support. Amanda is so strong, she's out of ICU and is on the road to recovery. She continues to amaze us with her strength every day. We'd also like to thank the amazing Healthcare team in the intensive care unit and every other person who has been apart of her care thus far. It's still a very long road ahead for Amanda but we know with your continued support and prayers she will continue to get better.
On September 8th a 36 year old woman was brutally attacked and hit by the car of her attacker.
That woman is Amanda Hunter.
Amanda is in critical but stable condition, the list of injuries is extensive, but to protect her daughter from hearing about them, I will not be listing it. Just know that Amanda will be in the hospital, and rehabilitation to overcome the damage that monster inflicted upon her for a very long time.
I want to tell you about our Amanda; she’s more than the victim in this horrific news story.
Amanda is bright, sarcastic, funny, she is an incredible friend, a loving mother, a football and Taylor swift enthusiast. She’s been in my life since we were 2 years old, a forever constant no matter how much time passed between seeing each other. Amanda’s unwavering love and compassion has shown true over and over for a lot of people. However, I’d like to speak about how when my own father was dying she sat by his bed, helping my mother and I attend to his needs. She made his passing easier on my family simply because that’s who she is. She did the same for her own father and mother who passed of cancer shortly after.
Leaving only her and her brother.
Despite all the loss, and trauma Amanda has faced in her life, she is known for being kind, sweet and also a firecracker. She has always had a big personality with a stunning smile we’re all hoping we will see again.
She can make you laugh even when your world is falling apart.
Amanda has a daughter who is certainly missing her Mom.
A family that loves her very much.
And friends that are heart broken from B.C to the United States.
On behalf of Amanda and with the permission of her family; I am asking you to help me help Amanda, her road to recovery is going to be long, and painful. I’d love to ease some of the financial burden this will cause her.
Please donate if you can.
Thank you,
