Hi My name is Amanda Schell. I'm 55 and a Mental health Worker in BC.

I have been re diagnosed with liver cancer after being 2 1/2 years cancer free of liver and lung cancer. I left a toxic marriage directly after my last battle which has left me in debt which I have been slowly chipping away at. I know from the last time that my income is going to drop by 45% on EI and there will be waiting periods of 5 or more weeks between assistance coming in and between EI and long term disability through my work. My expenses will also go up for traveling and accommodations for treatment in the city. My car is needing some work done to ensure it's safe to be traveling back and forth and my oncologist has told me that some of the medications/treatments may not be covered.

I hate to ask but I'm going to need some help with this! If you can't, don't worry, I get it. Times are really hard for everyone right now but please share, someone else may; and above all else pray for my my health and provision.

At the moment I'm waiting for a surgery date. They will biopsy and run several tests on the 2 tumors to be taking out to determine the following course of treatment.

I will keep you updated on my progress and journey.
