Hello,

If you are reading this you most likely know me, however if you don't, my name is Amanda Garrett and I have BIG dreams. I am a Couture Gown Designer and Bridal Specialist with 13+ years in the Bridal Industry.

This December I had an opportunity that I thought would be quite fun, it was to apply to Paris Fashion Week (yep, in Paris, France!). When I saw that Flying Solo was accepting only 100 designers out of hundreds, I thought what do I have to lose, so I applied on December 6th. A few weeks later, I received an email to send more information with sketches and pictures of my collection. With only sketches and one dress created from my latest collection called 'Adorn Me', I sent what I had.

On Sunday January 14th, they emailed me to inform me that I was accepted to be one of the preliminarily selected designers of the Ones To Watch competition! I mean WOW, I was shocked and also so excited. This is something that I have been dreaming of since I was in High School and didn't even know it yet, that what the spark of wanting to create clothing would turn into.

I have been able to grow my business to where it is now, helping hundreds of people every year feel confident and beautiful in what we create whether that be a couture gown or alterations for that perfect fit. Winning Awards from the services we provide, straight from our clients votes. It has been wonderful growing the business this far, however, I see a future that is much grander.

My dream is to help tens of thousands of people feel this confidence in their lives from the dressing room to the real world. Now that this opportunity has shown up there is no way that I can not participate so that more people can experience the impact that I can see A.M.E.G. Designs making on the world. Helping people love their bodies and feel absolutely unbelieve for whatever their event may be, is something that my soul calls for in an industry that for many decades thought one body type was the only one good enough. I am here to make noise to so that every BODY is seen as beautiful and that it begins with you thinking that about yourself.

Vogue, WWD, The New York Times, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Nylon, Marie Claire, NBC and others have been the press that have covered this specific show, with a designer profile and captures of the pieces. My collection would be in front of 10 million plus eyes, expanding our reach tremendously!

With your support, my dreams and many others (my family, my team, our clients and all of our future clients) will come true. Only 150 people investing $100 into this dream will make it a reality!

On January 22nd, it is my birthday, and the installments will start, first with the deposit. If you feel called I would love it if you would make an investment, of any size, into this venture, it will truly be one for the books and I can not wait to share the journey with you along the way.

The $15000 will be invested for;

- 3 Installments for the Paris Fashion Week venue, models, photos, videos, press coverage, hair/makeup, the after party

- Travel & Accommodations

- Purchasing Fabrics to create the remainder of the line, 7 pieces

Any amount that is raised will go towards this event if the goal is not made here, I will still be moving forward to make this dream happen, whatever it takes.
