In addition to Amanda's esteemed academia and successful career as a Financial Advisor, initiatives which promoted self-sufficiency and empowerment was Amanda's passion.
She organized the first public event in Ontario for Women for Women International supporting survivors of war, organized a regional clothing drive which supported Dress for Success boutiques across the country and over the past four years proudly awarded the Amanda Fournier Scholarship for Women with Disabilities at Georgian College. Most recently she was supporting Matthew's House Hospice, was working on a personal project of large scale that supported those with disabilities, and gave to countless charities.
Together, let's bring Amanda's dreams and hard work to life and support the initiatives she passionately supported. The funds raised will go directly towards;
1. The groundbreaking advancement in research and treatment for Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD2C), this research brought hope to Amanda and all of those affected by LGMD.
2. Completion of a personal project she was working on that supported those with disabilities.
3. The continuation of the Amanda Fournier Empowerment Scholarship for Women with Disabilities Demonstrating Perseverance, Commitment and Humanity.
4. To support the other countless charities she supported in the community.
In loving memory of Amanda, we thank you for your support.
Note from the campaign director:
